Oh... I'm enjoying them all very much. I don't mind the life lessons either - dramatic circumstances have a way of bringing the more important things in life closer to home and to the surface - I enjoy reading such heart-felt father-son suggestions.
Reminds me of a book my mother gave me about to 15 years ago - Life's Little Instruction Book - notes from a father to a son as the son was going off to college (maybe my mother was hoping I'd go back to college!

)...
Great little book - It's full of hundreds of little life tips on almost just as many subjects, stuff like:
239 - Never deprive someone of hope, it might be all they have.
287 - Promise big. Deliver big.
325 - Be wary of people who tell you how honest they are.
332 - Live your life as an exclamation, not an explanation
373 - Let your children overhear you saying complimentary things about them to other adults.
379 - Forget committees. New, noble, world-changing ideas always come from one person working alone.
384 - Never give a loved one a gift that suggests they need improvement.
26 - If in a fight, hit first, and hit hard.
43 - Never give up on anybody, miracles happen everyday.
Anyway, I'm enjoying Gary's shared "life lessons" - it helps put the marketing stuff in balance.
