Does anyone know of any information "out there" about moving to a business model where the client gets charged a monthly fee for a subscription/service and that fee recurrs until the client requests a cancellation?

I know it's an "interesting" technique since a lot of people procrastinate cancelling and, thus, pay more than if they had been required to pay by the month.

But does it turn potential customers off?

Any info or personal experience you'd like to share would be appreciated?

A lot of the paid membership sites online use this model successfully, such as Terry Dean's BizPromo group, or similar ones. A lot of the private marketing forums also do this.
Basically, once a person joins, under the terms of membership, they get notified that they will be charged on a monthly basis UNLESS they unsubscribe.
Most Internet firms do this as well, and it works. There is software that automates this billing process. The main thing is to make it CLEAR to customers that this is the model that you are using.
