Default Any good copywriter willing to take a gamble? - 09-19-2007, 03:43 PM

Hi,

I'm looking for someone to rewrite my salesletter and headline.

Here is the deal (I know it's a gamble ):

If you make a great salesletter and headline I will advertise my site with your affiliate URL. My site isn't live yet, so I didn't advertise yet.
When my site is done (after the salesletter and headline, the rest is ready),
I will start a major advertising Campaign. I will also do PPC advertising.

I will do this with your affiliate ID. That means 50% reoccurring commission per month per sale!

Let's say your affiliate ID makes 100 sales x 50% from $47 per month = $21 per sale (after Clickbank commission) = 100 x $21 = $2,100 per month!!!

So $2,100 per month for just rewriting 1 salesletter and headline.

And the commission stays as long as that person stays a member.

Are you willing to take that 'gamble'..................?

Let me know.

regards,

Michel

No offense Michel, but there are already copywriters doing this and they don't ask for permission, have to strike a deal, or "gamble" their life away.

I know you're new to this forum, but many smart copywriters/marketers (examples: Fortin, Kilstein, Moffatt) have already mentioned in the past about becoming affiliates, creating their own sales letters, and using them to create profits.

So really, your offer (sorry to say) is a bit on the weak side. Where's your benefit (other than paying for advertising)?

What makes your offer any better than someone becoming an affiliate and "doing their own "thing" without having to deal with you (or any other Clickbank marketers) personally?

Another problem we are dealing with here is that you're selling a "how to make money" program, which in itself, is a "gamble".

If you really want to make this project sell, then you need to redefine your niche.

What you have right now is too generic and the niche is too wide.

Let's say that your program helps people make money from adwords... then state it in your copy and make it your niche.

If it's online betting... then state it in your copy and make it your niche.

If it's how to make six figures a year starting your own daycare center... then state it in your copy and make it your niche.

My advice is to move away from the "make money now" niche and move on to a more defined, "honed-down" niche.

When your niche becomes too generic, it then falls into the "make money overnight" niche, which then is looked upon as an Internet scam situation.

I'm pretty sure this is not your intention, but most internet cruisers these days will think otherwise.

FYI Michel, I apologize for any comments you construe as being rude or obnoxious... just trying to help.

Translation: "Lord, I apologize for that right there, and please be with the starvin' pygmies in New Guinea, A-men"

Way I see it, you got 3 options:

1) Dish out 15.000 and get a GREAT copywriter (usually the worst idea out of the 3)

2) If you have confidence in your product's profitability, get a cheap copywriter (there are good ones for 4-5000 a letter and still much cheaper ones that understand the basics and will write you a no-hype sales pitch that does a basic selling job for 1-2k). Then, after you've proven the sales potential, get a GOOD copywriter to do a per-performance deal where you pay a percentage of the increased profits. I'm open to that, and I know others are if you give them access to your sales account and take a little effort to construct a safe and fair setting for you and the writer.

3) Learn to write copy yourself

If you're not married to the product and you don't hate learning a new skill, I'd always advise 3. It's like being able to print your own money. Good copywriting embodies good marketing and good business - I consider crafting successful offers and being able to communicate them clearly to be the top of the food chain in business, and being dependant on anyone else but yourself is (almost?) never a good idea in my opinion.

All the best,
Erik

Actually, I last read it from one of Gary Bencivenga's bullets. You remind me though, I should probably get back on the Total Package list with my current e-mail address.
