Default need to building a strategy for hypothetical dm campaign - 09-14-2007, 10:15 AM

I'm doing some self education exercises to strengthen my DM skills.

One of the things I want to do is create an offer by a biscotti company that originally only sold to cafes and restaurants. Now they want to sell directly to the public.

Note: this a hypothetical scenario using a real company that I found.


So let's say the company bought an active list of consumers who order specialty food from catalogs and other dr mediums.

Any ideas on how to get the list excited and coming back for more?

I was thinking of including a sample size gourmet coffee in the first offer and inviting them to receive a free sampling of biscotti.

Any other ideas?

In a way it's almost a no brainer. I'd create a direct mail piece and participate in Gevalia's in-the-box envelope program. It costs $65.00/1000. Minimum order is 50,000. Try getting your product in front of 50,000 laser targeted prospects for only $3,250.00 any other way.
