Default What Text Would You Use On A Buy It Now Button? - 07-22-2007, 07:06 PM

I'm having a designer create a few "Buy It Now"
buttons.

However, I don't like the phrase "Buy It Now".

So there's...

Sign Up Now
and many more!

Does anyone have any concrete test data saying
anything is better then "Buy It Now"?

What phrase would you use on your order button
and why?

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Dammit, Jason! Someone just posted about a test regarding this. I think it was on the Warrior Forum but the subject was misleading. I'll try to find it for you.

"But It Now" is about as bad as it gets.

PS: Have your designer give you the psd files so you can make the text fit your offer. That's what I do.

Can't find the Warrior thread. The way things are over there now, it may have mentioned John Reese and been deleted LOL!

Here is one I found:

I guess it depends on what it is. I would be interested if anyone has data on this as well.

The buttons purpose is to get people to click
and pay $997 for a yearly membership into my
"Easy Video Sales" site.

I'm not giving a free report away, or anything
like that.

I want them to click, and give me some money.

And quite a bit of it too! So I think I should be
delicate how I word it.

I've forwarded the URL to the designer and asked
that he keep an eye on this thread. Hopefully I'll
come up with a definitive answer on what the text
should be.

I'm thinking "CLICK HERE" needs to be included.

People need directions. So telling them what to
do never seems to hurt.

My suggestion so far is...

CLICK HERE TO CLAIM YOUR MEMBERSHIP PASS

arggg....

I want that a bit shorter.

Maybe...

CLAIM YOUR MEMBERSHIP PASS HERE!

Keep em coming.

And thanks for that Conversion Doctor article Neb!

I pointed out the flashy red/green thing to to designer
as well. Interesting read.

How does the word "reserve" land on ya'll?

Such as...

Click Here To Reserve Your Membership

Click Here To Reserve Your Seat

Click Here To Reserve Your Spot

Does the word reserve imply a bit of scarcity
to you?

What I mean is... by saying reserve does it
give the impression that it may be sold out
or could be sold out soon?

I have no plans on limiting the numbers, but
just wondering how the word "reserve" landed
upon others.

Seems like I remember Armand Morin telling me once that the word "claim" boosted his response considerably over "click" or "get".
