Hi All,

Has anyone here seen the TV commercial selling Dos Equis beer? It's a very bold, even brazen attempt at hooking a target market (20 something males) and doing it with brilliance.

The reason I mention this is because it accomplishes everything you want in an ad. It gets your attention immediately. In fact, I dare you to look away while watching it.

I have been noticing it popping up everywhere and it reminds me of David Ogilvy's ultra-successful, "Man in the Hathaway shirt" ad campaign.



Not sure how well this new ad campaign will do, but it certainly has gotten my attention as of late.

I love that Hathaway shirt guy. In fact, I remember the ad because of the picture. You just have to read and find out about who this guy is. Another brilliant ad.

Awesome.. absolutely loved it!

What I think is interesting about the commercial
I saw was that the most interesting man in the
world said something like...

"I don't always drink beer, but when I do...
It's Dos Equis".

Or something like that.

It was the opposite of pimping some Coors light
next to the pool with a bunch of bikini babes.

I prefer the Silver Bullet. Not the beer, but the TWINS!

The thing I find most interesting about the "twins" commercial is that the advertisers are not only selling their product using man's compulsion to sex alone, but they are also going after another human instinct...

"Greed".

Think about it.
