I hope it's ok to post this here. My name is Kory Basaraba and my company, High-Performance Marketing, has been swamped with clients over the last few weeks. We need to find a copywriter ASAP to share the opportunity with.

I know Russell Brunson had great success finding a copywriter from this board, and since we're in Boise as well, it seemed like a good place to start (And yes, I swiped heavily from Russ's ad to write this one )

I've worked with David Garfinkel and Michel on the launch of their Breakthrough Copywriting product (I did the graphic design, some video production, and project management for that product) and we're a premier implementation partner for Infusion CRM.

My business partner Eric and I are also the Dan Kennedy certified business advisor's for Idaho. We eat, sleep and breathe direct marketing. Jay Abraham and Dan Kennedy are our heroes - and every day we work with clients to implement their ideas in the real world.

Business owners hire us to handle everything for them, from lists to design to database work to copy, and we make it all happen for a nice fee and % of the increased sales.

Our model is attractive to business owners because they either don't have the time or the skills to put all the pieces together. We've got clients who are national franchises and others who want to become national.

Word has started to spread, suddenly we're a hot commodity - and we need your help.

You would be working with us on direct-response campaigns both online and off line. You'd be writing copy for print, the web, radio, TV and video for a variety of clients in different industries.

We have plenty on our plate right now to keep a good writer busy full time. You'll get to write a LOT of copy for multiple businesses and see your copy tested in the real world every week.

You're ideally suited for this if you're obsessed with writing copy and are hungry to learn and acquire a pile of real-world direct marketing experience with a fast-growing direct response company.

The right person will have an opportunity to participate in the profits from our projects, and will get an incredible education in running and implementing direct marketing programs.

If you're already busy and charging $5,000 or more for your copy, even though we'd love to work with you, you're not the person we need at the moment. (at least, not this week).

We're a virtual company (I live in Washington state and our head office is in Boise, Idaho) so you can work from home.

Also, we like to have a lot of fun, so if you wake up in a bad mood every day, this isn't for you.

Wow - what a response!

First, I want to THANK everyone who's contacted me, I really appreciate the heart and soul you're putting into your "applications".

It's going to be one of the hardest things I've done to say "no" to any of you!

I'll be contacting all of you one way or another by Monday if you haven't already heard from me.

My goal IS to be a dream client/business partner for one lucky writer.

Let me share a bit more about the position - after hearing from so many of you, I want to make sure I'm not misleading anybody.

Our ideal writer is someone who wants to be part of our team - part of a fast-growing direct marketing company.

You must have some strong copy under your belt.

I need to see at least a couple of samples that show you understand the steps of persuasion in print.

Our pay model is a flat monthly amount - enough to pay the bills and some fun money (depending on your lifestyle) - plus a share in the projects we put out. PLUS a ton of experience.

The right person will start at $4k-$5k/month depending on their experience and willingness to jump in and make things happen.

You'll be writing some B2B copy, some consumer copy, emails, everything you can imagine.

Your copy will be reviewed, critiqued, and you'll be asked to re-write a LOT (Unless you nail it the first time - we're not totally unreasonable).

You need to be comfortable doing a lot of research, getting into the psychology of the prospects in an intimate way. All the best practices you've read from guys like Michel, Carlton, Mr. Halbert, Clayton - you'll be living and breathing these techniques and we'll be holding your copy up beside their controls and saying "How would they make it better?"
