I have written a post on my
blog on my favourite (profit pulling) headlines and I want to share it here. What do you think about these headlines and do you think it can be improved further?

Today, I would like to bring forth some of my favourite headlines that have lingered in my "copywriting exercise book". The first one is a classic one: RUN YOUR CAR WITHOUT SPARK PLUGS
Get Up to 31 More Horse-Power, 8 More Miles Per Gallon
Using Regular Gas!
I am surprised and actually attracted to this headline. I am a car freak and I love to have more power on my car. The best thing is this ad was from the 60's if I am not mistaken. You can get the links to the whole copy at Ben Settle's blog by subscribing his newsletter.
From the headlines, we know what the product capable of doing (benefits), it can give more horse power, decrease your oil usage and therefore more mileage. Everyone wants that, especially peoples that obsessed with car. It's specific as well. No wonder it converts well in the past. Update: Fellow Copywriters Board member, Michael S. Winicki noted that the other than "RUN YOUR CAR WITHOUT SPARK PLUGS", it is sub-headlines, which to support headline's claim. My mistake for not noticing it before.
Anyway, this statement, "RUN YOUR CAR WITHOUT SPARK PLUGS" have attracted my attention right away - is it possible a car, can run without spark plugs? That attracts me, and so many others. "How Does A Full Time 2nd Grade Teacher, Struggling to Make $417 A Month Online, Triple It In 4 Days... And Eliminate Worry About Having A 'Cash Crunch' Again"
This is simpleology's new Business Turnaround Kit sales letter headline. I love this. Like the first headline, it is specific - by telling that a 2nd grade teacher that struggling to make 417 dollars a month triple that amount in 4 days. It arouses my curiosity and it is simply persuasive from my point of view. Another is the use 'cash crunch', which many internet business owners are afraid of. "Yes Even You Can Ethically 'Steal' These Amazing, Response-Boosting Shortcut Secrets From The World's Most Successful Marketers Today."
This is from Michel Fortin's The Copy Doctor website. It is simple, and does not bring any specific claims or story like two above but it comes with claim that you can steal secrets employed by top copywriters in their copy writing activities. Anyone want to steal ethically and have a shortcut to success? I want it and I know you want it as well.
