Hey guys,
I've been a member of this forum for about six months, under the name of Writely...
But ever since signing up, I've been a lurker.
I was overwhelmed by the level of knowledge you all had, and being a green and self-conscious newbie, I figured I'd do something I'm not used to doing:
I Decided To Shut Up And Listen.
For the last few months, I've been sliding in and out of this forum, gleaning whatever I could from the threads that caught my eye.
I still feel that I have more to gain from listening than talking, but I decided that it was only fair to try to add value to a forum that's given me so much.
So consider this my very first post.
And in this first post, I'd like to offer a few links to sites I've found to be extraordinarily useful.
www.hardtofindads.com Internet Marketing Seminars | Hard to Find Seminars | Michael Senoff www.archive.org Find Articles - News, Magazine back issues & Reference on all topics Wikiquote And some suggestions for great books to read:
-
You, Inc. The Art of Selling Yourself by Harry Beckwith & Christine Clifford Beckwith
-
Selling The Invisible, by Harry Beckwith
-
The Adweek Copywriting Handbook by Joseph Sugarman
And one bit of software that absolutely kicks butt:
-Scrivener (for Mac users only)
Literature and Latte - Scrivener
I hope to add far more value than this in the future, but I hope this is a good starting point
Stay Slick,
