Ran across this interesting snippet
yesterday:
Quote:
An academic study has backed
one of the most vital yet ubiquitous tools
to entrepreneurs – gut instinct.
Experts at the University College of London
(UCL) found that trusting your first thoughts
may result in better decisions than thinking
too hard.
The verdict was issued after volunteers
identified the 'odd one out' from a screen
of over 650 symbols at a higher success
rate when they were given no time to
deliberate.
Relying entirely on the subconscious for
certain tasks is therefore more effective
than using a long thought process, found
Dr Li Zhaoping, of UCL’s Psychology
department.

Seems to relate to what the copywriting
experts tell us -- just sit down and write
as fast as you can, and then edit later.
Get your thoughts down WITHOUT THINKING
ABOUT THEM (which seems to be a contradiction
in terms ... but somehow it works).
