It's the best money I've spent on copywriting products in recent history. I really like Clayton's newsletter; this extends and shows much more of his knowledge and tips.

Very glad I bought both, I'd recommend them.

To print them out, TIP: use the 'psprint' utility (sorry don't know the url of where to get it), it lets you print 4 pages on one sheet of paper, side by side both sides, for compactness. Great knowledge, well worth buying in my estimation. Financial swipes alone were worth 10x the price to me.

Thanks for the recommendation. Clayton's stuff is great. I wanted to recommend his EasyWriters Club membership too. I have been blown away with the awesome content that I've gotten each month (12 page print newsletter, print swipe file of Clayton's work, web based video training). A definite two thumbs up!

I've just finished re-reading Clayton's "Double Your Profits" book, that I'd printed out. I'll be re-reading it several times more this spring/summer.
I hadn't meant to spend the last 2+ hours reading it, but I wanted to "really get it", and re-reading it in depth, after my initial skimming of it, was the best 2 hours I've spent reading this year so far. And I read daily, a lot.

It's hands-down one of the BEST Copywriting Books/resources ever created, and I've read virtually everything. Combined with his swipes in the "Steal these Secrets" pdfs, it's a superb combination.

I'll be emailing my copywriting house list sometime soon to encourage them
all to buy it, and post on various forums.

Hats off to Clayton, (the parts about magalog sidebars alone was more than worth the price of admission)... this product is a 5-star winner. A must-have for every copywriter. I heartily endorse it, and recommend you all cheerfully buy it, print it out and study it. Tip: I like to go to kinko's and have these types of ebooks spiral-bound w/clear plastic cover/blue backgrounds, so it's easily used. This one's gonna get a lot more dog-eared and highlighted.

You should see the DVD’s from his Power Marketing Summit last year – Double Your Profits is barely the tip of the iceberg compared to what’s on those.

As one of Clayton’s copy cubs I’m admittedly (and unashamedly) biased toward his stuff. But there’s 16 hours of Clayton going in meticulous detail about the direct response biz and writing top-notch sales copy.

There wasn't a single sales pitch during the entire summit—it’s all pure content.

I think folks who register for this year’s summit (Clayton Makepeace - Power Marketing Summit 2007) before the end of Jan. get the whole set as a bonus. You should check it out – phenomenal stuff.

Hi John, thanks - looks like a *Terrific* event... great salesletter (loved the "no pitch from the podium/no bs" graphic in the sidebar, too, agree 110%, that's a refreshing change from the big "guru" pitchfest low-value seminars, which groom speakers to try and pitch from the podium so hard).

I really enjoyed Clayton's appearance in the AWAI dvds, on writing for the financial markets. Unfortunately I won't be able to attend Clayton's seminar in March, but I hope he'll put the dvds on sale from the earlier events, and this one. He's on the "short list", along w/Carlton, Kennedy, Fortin et al of world-class copywriters to learn from. The DYP was a truly valuable book (and I'm a hard sell, as I've read most everything out there).

I agree Ken I thought "DYP" was excellent... It's about time I pulled it out and read it again.

Right - and the magalog swipes found in "Steal these Secrets" are without a doubt the BEST, along w/John Carlton's & Michel's and Dan Kennedy's swipes I've ever seen in my life.

Wealth formula: combine Dan Kennedy, John Carlton, Michel Fortin and Clayton Makepeace's training & strategies learned in swipes.

I will be carefully going over each of the "Steal These Secrets" swipes in the weeks ahead, and use what I'm learning to create another million. It's easy.

Rather than copying, what I do instead is, as is suggested, copy them out longhand (it embeds the process), figure out the current market, the prospect's mindset, what's going on Now, and adapt the train of thought and approach to engaging the prospect, with the mental picture words, evoked responses and the rest, for creating unique, kick-ass copy...
And be sure to take the time/printer ink to Print these things out full page, the magalog swipes, for offline study.

Anyways, the DYP PROCESS + "Steal These Secrets" EXAMPLES are a terrific combination, and I highly recommend everyone go buy it right this second. Really.

I've collected trading and health magalogs for years, but I never got these. They are without a doubt the best magalog swipes I've ever seen. Best part is, the concepts illustrated are also *perfectly* adaptable to long copy internet sites. (and DM stuff, which I *am* going to test this year, extensively, via srds/trading mag lists/WSJ etc too).

Go buy this right now, everyone. It'll be the best money you spend on copywriting all year long - you have my word on it.
