Default *Credible copywriters' sites* ... got one? - 01-06-2007, 03:31 PM

Here's a copywriter's site that has a lot of credibility, imo:

Colleen Szot: Infomercial Writer
(aka drtvwriter.com)

Colleen's a direct-response infomercial script/copywriter.

Also
America's Leading Direct Mail Copywriter
(spoke w/Steve on the phone, he's a great guy)

Anyone else have examples of well-written *professional copywriters'* sites, especially those that are *not* in the "copy for IM gurus" style?
eg I'm looking for examples of offline pro copywriters' sites mostly...
any others out there worth a look? Ones without 21 point red tahoma. Without namesqueezes. But still dr-savvy, pro copywriting?

Thanks,

Ken

Unfortunately you won't find many of those sites here. Most of them are the ghetto one-page lookin' sites.

Marcia Yudkin has a very informative site off the top of my head.

Peter Stone's site maintains professionalism within a 1-page site. (Also interesting use of credibility and proof right at top).

So do you all think that promotional webSITES are much more credible than long copy promotional webPAGES?

What about Gary Halbert's viewpoint that went something along the lines of saying that all those other pages on a site are just for image, and the real selling happens in a salesletter?

I guess there is no 'right' answer, but I'd just like to know your thoughts, as I was surprised that most of the 'credible' websites mentioned were multipage 'formal' sites with short snippets of copy.
