Should bullets be placed in Johnson boxes or should they be placed outside johnson boxes?

Since the purpose of the Johnson Box is to get the reader to read the body of the letter or the headline of the letter - I believe that is best accomplished with a single powerful thought or idea. To have bullets at that point might reduce the incentive to read on.

Well I've done both in the past. And they both worked.

My own view is that a Johnson Box is good to use to highlight any major point - or points that you need to make.
