Default My First Sale!!! - 10-23-2006, 04:46 PM

It's been a while since I've been here but this morning I lost my J-O-B due to some really poor management. I decided to take things into my own hands.

Did a bit of promoting for a product on clickbank then left for an interview. When I got back I see a nice commission sitting in my stats and that's all it took for me to catch the bug! I'm stoked to push more products as well as develop my own.

Just as a note for anyone lurking these forums... all it takes is a bit of initiative. Stop reading and just DO something. Without this board I'd never have known where to start. Thank you, everyone.

Always fun to look at those Clickbank stats and see money there -- congratulations!

Nice post.

And congrats!

You really hit the nail on the head when it comes to starting your own business now-a-days... and do exactly what you said, "Stop reading and just DO something".

We are awash in information... too much damn information if you ask me, all it manages to do is hold you back because you end up waiting for the next "key piece of info" or "guru's secret" to help you launch your business.

It's not necessary. Just get started. You don't need to read 15 books/ebooks/courses to figure out how to start an online business. Read one or two and get going!

Wheeee!!

My ad when public @ 11am. It's now 7pm and I just got my second sale after 13 clickthroughs.

I was out enjoying my day, and off of one product-one ad, made half what I would have at my 9-5. I can see how this will be profitable once I start upping the numbers and selling my own goods.

2 sales- one on each foot to kick my butt for not starting sooner!

Thanks again everyone for your help and support.

Where are you getting traffic from? And what's it costing you?

Traffic is free from the online "free for all" directory I posted to. I recently got word that my webhost is offering $$ for AdWords that I figure I should use now that I have more of a direction.

This itty bitty taste has be salivating in a good way.

That's great. It's always nice to make sales and pay nothing for traffic.

I remember reading a while back of a tool that'll mask a clickbank link - or even skip the vendors copy all together and jump right to the payment page... while still keeping my hop attached.

What was this tool ?
