Default XSite Pro Competitor For the MAc - 10-18-2006, 06:57 PM

Man, I never thought I'd have a single bad thing to say about being a Mac user and then WHAM, the folks over at Xsite pro go and make a Windows only product.

I'm sure I'm not the sole Mac Jockey on this board. What do you guys use to put together minisites and the like? Any products that stand head and shoulders above the rest?

Best,
c

If building from scratch, I just use Dreamweaver. Goes very, very quickly. Nearly every feature (if not every) offered by XSite can be plugged-in to DW using Extensions.

If building a site that has pages/articles/pieces, I useHave yet to build a site that didn't go very quickly in one of the 3.

Just got a new MacBook. I've used MS OSs since Dos2.1 in 1985. I love my MacBook and when my desktop goes, it'll be replaced with a Mac. I'm sick of Windows and won't be looking back.

By the way, the code xSite Pro generates is so horrid I won't use it. But I have a 23 year old that can code anything I need by hand faster than I can use a wysywig. Plus he's thinking of starting his own web hosting company so I won't have to pay too much for hosting although what I pay now is very reasonable. Even he is looking seriously at a Mac although he just bought a Gateway tablet that is pretty cool too.

Macbook Pro here I come. Technically it's for my wife for X-mas, but I'm sure she'll share.

Lance
