I am new to the forums and have decided that I want to add effective copywriting to my list of skills...It can't hurt right?

My question is this:

Are header graphics on a sales letter effective?

Has anyone tested the conversion rates of copy with and without header graphics?

I am curious because I recently finished writing my first sales letter (first draft, now learning how to tweak it ) entirly by myself and I am now looking into how to package that letter in a website.
