Hey Everyone,
My niche is self help--everything from inspirational to health. If you've read my recent posts, you know I teach English. However, my Bachelor's Degree is in psychology. I worked in that field for several years and have continued to read self-help books throughout the years. That's where my focus is for my copywriting career.
I assume all these topics fall under self-help:
motivational/success
inspirational
health and fitness
spiritual
Am I correct?
I just want to see how other writers in this market promote themselves. Let me know if you can help. | | | | | Grand Master

I don't know this niche (it's not mine), but I would also think that "get rich" would fall under self help, no? | | | | | New Member

Namaste,
Joe Vitale (also known as Mr Fire) is the pre-eminent copywriter in this field.
He has numerous products in the self help area and also does a lot of joint ventures promoting the products of people like Pat O'Bryan.
It is well worth joining his mailing list.

tvwriterguy,
Yep, I do believe that getting rich fits under that category, as well.
Stephen,
I'll look into Joe Vitale's product line. Thanks.
Any other suggestions anyone?

I spent 6 years reading self help stuff from spiritual guru
Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh.
The dude is absolutely mad (in a good way).
He goes so deep into self help that 99% of the people
cannot even stomach reading it. He's hated, misunderstood,
and a codemned all over the world. Tell's me he must
of been doing something right.
Most people revert from helping themselves though becuase
he digs so deep inside the ego and mind.
What is sad is that many people have these amazing feelings
of hatred towards the dude, and usually they have never read
but 1 of his books. Read about 5 of those babies, and o boy,
it can mess you up.
You either fix yourself, or spend eterntity hating yourself. It's
easier for people to just give up on themselves, so they end
up hating him.
Never found anything better in my life for self help.
WARNING:
Not even remotely for everyone to read.
Be careful. | | | | | Master

Thanks Andy, Shawn, Janet, and Jason. (I hope I didn't leave anyone out.) Good stuff.
I've never heard of Bhagwan Shree Rajneesh. I'll have to check him out. If it's deep ca-ca, I'll probably like it.
