Dear copywritersboard members,
I'm in the process of relaunching a classic Maxwell Sackheim work, and I'd very much appreciate the feedback of the professionals on this board.
My questions may be somewhat typical of a product launch in general (although this is very small-scale). But this is a more "classic" product, based on old school direct mail (as opposed to overtly writing for search engines or some such), and I am optimistic that some members may have insight into how to position it.
My first concern, and what initially brought me here, is the sales letter. Because most serious students probably own the book already, I opted for a "greedy gurus" approach that might appeal to folks with less experience but who have nonetheless heard of Sackheim's genius. The story in the letter is all true.
The other issue is how best to place the book in front of people who may be interested in purchasing it. My customer list is very high-quality, but small, and many of my clients have purchased the book already. Is the number of books I have (~100) too small for a 50-50 JV, or to recruit affiliates? I also am considering giving the book (and audio CD of Sackheim and John Caples) as a free bonus, but will post that idea in the appropriate ad/offer section for discussion.
Many thanks for any and all feedback. Have a safe and happy Fouth of July Weekend.
Emerson
