Default Very interesting old piece of copy - 06-25-2006, 01:12 AM

I just wanted to share this ad that by todays standards is considered bizzar. Check it out. Just goes to show how much culture can change so quickly and how what is considered ideal by most can do a 180 in just a handful of decades.

This was found in an old comic I am going to sell on Ebay titled Love Letters No. 38 (1955). Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Hey Terry,
I remember seeing this one a few months ago and thought the same thing.

Not sure, but I might have seen it at Michael Senoffs "hard to find ads" website.

I'd love to see this concept make a comeback!

I have a feeling it's already started making a comeback.

I remember some campaigns from "The Body Shop"

Also something from Avon if I'm not mistaken.

Very interesting?

Looks like a "swipe/knockoff" of the famous Charles Atlas ads... "don't get sand kicked in your face" etc.

Cool.
