Default How do you find the ultimate unbeatable offer for your copy - 04-13-2006, 10:00 AM

What do you guys think is the best offer you've ever seen in copy?

And what problems do you have finding a great offer to use in your copy?

Kindest regards,
Andrew Cavanagh

The best offer I've ever seen had two
parts to it...

Part I: Bonus Flip
A very valuable product was the feature
of the letter. The offer was that you can get
if free if you bought another related product.

Part II: 30-Day Hold On Payment Processing
You get 30 days to check out the free product
and the one you purchase before your credit
card gets processed.

I think if this is done right it's an unbeatable
offer. The freebie must be something people
really want and it must relate directly to the
product they have to buy.

Joyner wrote the book on the subject, but didn't really provide a set of tools to disect the problem. Mostly just mapped out the solution.

Answer the following questions for the reader within the first three seconds.
What are you offering?
How much?
What's in it for me?
Why the heck should I believe you?

And the most important part of any offer has nothing to do
with the offer at all!

The single most powerful, most convincing, best converting part of
any offer is.......
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.that somebody you trust has already accepted it.

It could be a ball of mud on the end of a stick
and if your friend bought one, you'll want one too.
When they talk about a "Hungry Crowd" , that's how you can
create one out of thin air.

Yes I have the irresistable offer on my bookshelf.

Thanks Skye.

Good insight.

Can you give me an example of something you bought recently for this reason?

Kindest regards,|

"It could be a ball of mud on the end of a stick

Definitely wouldn't want a ball of mud even if my friend wants it.

I want what I want...not what my friend wants.
As long as someone I trust wants what I want, fine.
IT'S ABOUT ME!

Best irresistable offer from a cheerleader:

"Sex?"

That example should clearly telegraph to you what an 'irresistable offer' is.

Irresistable offer from a cheerleader...

"Sex"

No I'd turn that down.

I have a beautiful, intelligent girlfriend.

So in that regard I would not be a hungry prospect.

If she offered to introduce me to the team owner that might be more interesting (from a business sense).

Kindest regards,
Andrew Cavanagh

I would think the offer (no matter what it is) would come from the market anyways. There's no 'one' offer. Right?

I mean, where's the money originally coming from?
The offer, or the clients pocket?

And it's kind of fascinating that everything flows back to that simple (and pretty overlooked) idea.
