Default Clayton's Power Summit? - 04-11-2006, 05:47 PM

In the spirit of Michel's Big Seminar post:

Anyone Going To DC for Clayton's Power Summit?

I'm going. I know there is another person on here going... is that it?

Not many copywriters going then I guess? Unless they're all AWAI cronies (I mean that in a good way ) that don't hang out here.

Let me know!

Being in a different country... and having other things to do I don't plan to go.

I've been subscribing to Clayton's newsletter for a while and I think he knows what he's talking about.

So... you'll probably learn heaps!

Having said that... is it just me, or do Clayton's newsletters seem long-winded? I'm at the point where I just skim them... and I might unsubscribe soon.

I've got a lot of respect for Mr Clayton, but it seems over the past 2-3 months all I got was news about his seminar...

Didn't get much value out of it.

Perhaps it'll get better once the seminar is over.

I'm hanging in there.

BTW - I just got back from DC on business.
Yeah, that's right - had to go to DC during the Big Conference and now have to be back in Houston during Clayton's seminar...

I think there's a conspiracy going on here.

Jaykay,

I agree wholeheartedly. In fact, these two issues
are priceless for serious copywriters. I printed them
out and studied them under a magnifying glass.

Result: Two new promotions that I could never have
written as well if it wasn't for these two issues.

I hope everyone stops reading Clayton's and Halbert's
stuff. There'll be a whole lot less serious competition.

I guess I'm on the wrong list.

Here's the last email I got from him:

Although you can see it here, the header graphic has a picture of the capitol building on it --

The email was headlined as "That's all he wrote …"

Here it is:

THE TOTAL PACKAGE
Like I said, I must be on the "wrong" list -- this is the only type of email I've been getting lately.

I'll go back and try to re-subscribe.

Judging by the content JayKay just posted, I'm missing out on a lot of fantastic stuff.

Thanks for the "heads up" guys.

Default Clayton's stuff is incredible - 04-14-2006, 12:28 AM

I love Clayton's ezine. I always find a way to add something from each issue to the letters I'm currently writing. It's potent information. The fact that the info he's giving away is free is beyond me.

I like shorter ezines in general as well - but not when each issue is packed with great tips. The more the better.

And I'm pretty sure he sends out his content-filled issues on Mondays. Other days he's been promoting his seminar. Not a big deal to me - again, the first class information he's giving away is free. TV has commercials too.

I'll be there, of course.

My friend John Carlton is going.

I expect to see John and Kevin Finn, there. They are the only agents for copywriters I know of, landing 'six' for many of their clients. (And two of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet).

A number of six and seven figure writers Clayton has trained...

Greg Grillot, a product manager for Agora who recently wrote a letter that grossed 6.4 million on the Internet in 30 days, is going. His sole purpose in going is to recruit writers.

Numerous companies that fall in the 'big mailer' catagory are sending reps for the purpose of finding and hiring good writers.

It is going to be the big money, direct response center of the universe.

If you work smart, you can get a year's worth of marketing done in a couple of days and save a lot of the hassle and expense of setting up some sort of complex process designed to promote your services to the companies that pay big money.

REMEMBER: "You're Just One Salesletter Away From Wealth..."

(You may read more on my blog at: www.PeterStoneCopy.com/blog . I've put up a special offer, designed to pay people to go).
