Default Affiliate Sites - 04-08-2006, 07:58 AM

I'm just wondering if you have a product to sell (such as an e-book), is it worth joining an affiliate site and letting other people do all the work?

And if so, is clickbank the best site, or are there others?

If anyone else has any other points to also add about affiliate sites, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Matthew,

If you have a GOOD e-book, it might be worthwhile.

There are others besides clickbank, one being Paydotcom
(http://www.paydotcom.com). I have not used paydotcom so am
not endorsing it, however, because I don't know much about them.

You might try Googling "affiliate sites" or something similar. You'll find
all kinds of things..some good, some not so good. You can also find
more sites similar to clickbank and paydotcom, but I didn't write them down..

I've done well with an Amazon affiliation.

I know there are others here, like John, who probably know more about the best affiliate sites.

Best wishes to you.

I've used Clickbank and it's been very worthwhile. I think most affiliates looking for digital products to sell go to Clickbank first... so you'll get more potential salespeople "working for you" by listing your ebook with Clickbank.

Some folks have grumbled about Clickbank in the past, and of course any service could be better. But they've improved lately, and I've never had any problems with them.

But I don't think you should have the attitude of "letting other people do all the work."

Work hard to sell your own products as if you are the only one doing so -- then any affiliate sales are: (1) automatically better because your sales letter will be top-quality (higher conversions); (2) nice bonuses on top of your efforts!

Another benefit... most (not all) affiliates have websites on which they post affiliate links back to your site/sales letter... so you get SEO bennies thanks to all those one-way incoming links.

Just make sure you put your keyword(s) in your link! (a href tag) heh

Yeah, I just had this sudden thought that I could maybe make easy money through affiliates.

Now that I look at it seriously I can see that I would need to promote the product myself normally, and use affiliates just for a bonus. (kind like what B-Lowe said)
