what happened to the copywriter today?

they are running after testimonial, i understand it if they are selling product, i mean concrete product, material one.

here i am talking about the self promotion .

the one that take this form :

1) hey , man look there this is picture a photography of me, and Garry halbert.
2) hey men do you know that Jove vital admire my work?
3) this guru, talk about me, this other one is looking after my advice.

the self promotion.

never talk about your self, let other talk about you.

if you do good, you will not need any picture with any one even he is an hypnotic monkey, Mr water, or even the Million Dollar Making machine.

reader even dislike one word that author use and this word is ME.

talk them about their selves they love that, so stop talking about you selves and what you have done.
there is an over promotion that begin to be ridiculous.

what is the line that copywriter have not to go on in self promotion?

I would rather have all my teeth pulled out than to read that again due to the spelling, it took me like 5 minutes to read it...LOL

But how? Well, buy another book from bigest testimonial whore to find the answer.
And then you buy that book and there you can read that you should buy another book, and another, and another...

No, Honestely it is not about Joe Vital, but about all theses superstars copywriters, and there are many believe me.

Garry Halbert is Gary Halbert and he have no need to be in a picture with some one else.

and there are many big copywriters and truly one and transparent one, you can find here one of them believe me, we are at the right place , but we have just to be clear in our mind, and to asck the eternel question that is our SALUT (in french).

this question, is :

Why, Why, and how , and what would be the consequencies.

I was just playin' around. But seriously, I do agree with you, it's funny to see all the "gurus" sit around and promote each others stuff, it's one huge pow wow. I sometimes wonder if these people have ever seen some of the products they promote.

i agree withh you, you know i think that this comes from one thing:
they havn't the power to say No for money, and some time we have to say:

No, i Cant promote this Sh i t (sorry, i don't want to be irrespectefull).

I'd like to rant about J.V. here for a page or so.

But I'm just going to say that he published a testimonial
that after 6 monthes one of the people in his mentor
program was making money. Being in the program myself,
I was suprised.

Yeah - I checked into his mentoring program myself, because I do like Joe Vitale!

I have a lot of respect for those that have achieved success...

But the price tag for this program? Ouch!!!

I thought I could get in for a couple of hundred dollars, but soon found out after speaking with his "sales staff" it would cost me thousands!

Joe's assurance that I was on track, or
Joe's assurance I was headed for a profitable business, or
