Default Product-Creation and HOW It Relates To Copywriting.. - 03-04-2006, 03:01 PM

Hey there,

This is a situation that's been bugging me...

My ultimate goal is to be able to "Pick" any info-product niche, then do what I have to do (research-wise), to eventually break-into the niche with my own qualilty info product, and killer sales letter to accompany.

But here's where I'm getting all fogged up....

I reason that the content of the finished info-product, is directly related to "what" words I'm able to "choose" for the sales copy.

So starting from scratch, if I want to just "pick" any nich, even a competitive one, is there a strategic way to create the info-product so it will allow me to write copy powerful enough to compete with the best?

Also, lot of the best info-product sites, especially in competitive niches seem to have the whole "unique, incredible "story", built around the product being sold.

A guy like me would just want to look at what's allready selling, and make sure my product has everything contained in the best ones already selling, and then some more, or add a unique angle/twist.

These are the types of stumbling blocks I've been dealing with lately, any insights are greatly appreciated..

Thanks,
Cory Friedman

Cory, I think you answered your own question in the above paragraph as far as product creation.

But don't be worrying about the copy while you're still choosing your product -- that's bass-ackwards. Once you've chosen a product that you know has a market, but you've put quality into it plus that unique angle/twist, then you won't have any trouble writing copy for it.

My .02,
Ken S.

Do it 50/50

I think people want tricks. Magic pills. Instant solutions. So find as much of these magic solutuions as possible that they can quickly use to patch up their problems.

Then, the other 50% should be deeper substance. Give them a system. Give them a methodology to handle problems long term. Basically, give them what they REALLY need.

Then, you got a good product with, what should be a good angle... and you have the sexy tricks you can use to fire them up in the bullets and get them to buy.

Hi Corey,

A friend of mine just showed me a site making 5 figures a month. It's only been up a few months.

In reviewing it, it was clear to me, that what I call "The Compelling Story" was one of, if not, the big reasons.

Simple, Fast solutions...Yes.

Substance to back it up...Yes.

and as you have seen...

We should then wrap that in a Very Compelling story...YES!

It's why I find interviewing so incredible.

Amazing how the "not-so-obvious" Compelling Story can just "show up".

Unreal how "Real-life Tidbits" show up to reinforce the believability of that compelling story.

Phenomenol... the hidden "emotional material" that can be found to support that same Compelling story.

I would recommend looking at those sites that you see as having a compelling story and really studying why they work. Once you better understand "The Why" you'll be better able to produce something better.

Read their story and notice when you pay closer attention...ask yourself...why did that happen to me? Sure it got your attention but why exactly?

It's very often something "Indirect" so try to "look" past the obvious.

Shaune

Wow, thank you all so much, your help is really making sense to me.

It's funny how one can look at copy, as all of these different componants that can be included in the salesletter... although there is always seems to be an underlying theme, story etc, that dictates which response boosting
elements are used, and at what point in the copy.
