I have
PR 4
SEO'd site that gets around 400 visitors today mostlly through search engines on Bible prophecy related keywords on which I sell two PDF ebooks today but plan to have many more once I write them.
But before I focus more on content I realize my "conversion rate sucks" as Michel has on his page and really should be addressed first before adding more products. What my conversion rate is now, I'm not sure, since I don't know how to properly track it (which is another problem). On average I make 1 sale per day on 400 visitors. If every visit counts then I guess that's a .025 conversion rate, but I suspect they don't.
But more than just Copy, I'm convinced my homegrown site needs a full makeover to turn it from the free articles site it started as into a real ebook sales site it needs to be. Michel already advised me on some obvious things to do, like get rid of all the choices to my articles and funnel people them down a sales page path with basically one link only on that page BUY NOW.
So I'm wondering if there is a
pro out there who specifically knows how to make sites that sell multiple ebooks (on related topics) really well like I need. I think if I find such an expert and hire him, the increased sales from the higher conversion rate would quickly pay for his fee.
Is there any ebook sales site design expert out there or am I just going to have to learn it and do it myself? I know once I have the design redone I can hire someone like Michel to redo the copywriting and boost the conversion rate better than I could have gotten, which would also pay for itself soon enough.
Here are my sites:
www.EscapeAllTheseThings.com
This site Michel recommends i separate out to sell the ebooks and move the articles to my other site as well as get the adsense off the sales page
www.TimMcHyde.com which has a blog and is added to frequently to eventually attract even more SE traffic with lots of free content and direct them to my book site. So this will take the place of what the first site started out to be, but with a much less scary look so it gets linked and visited more.
Any feedback is welcome.
