Default newsletter industry - 09-07-2005, 03:03 PM

Does anyone have suggestions about where I should go for market information on the newsletter industry targeting people ages 50 and older i.e. statistics on how much the industry is worth, how it's growing, changing, and any other business plan related info that would apply?

Thanks!
Lina

Lina,

I came out of that industry -- at one point owned three magazines targeting the 50+ market segment. I sold out in '99.

It's amazingly fast growing.

Check out http://www.agewave.com/ -- Ken Dychtwald is an "Aging Industry Expert." Like me, he published magazines for this market, at the time I sold out, he was on his way up building other related businesses. I think his growth got the best of him and he crashed an burned in the past few years. He's still an industry speaker and also has written great books and information.

Also check out http://www.ThirdAge.com

If you'd like to discuss this further, you're welcome to PM me and we can see if I might be able to help.

Best of luck... The 50+ market is EXPLODING -- lots of money to be made there with the right products and services.

Warm Regards,

I totally agree. This market is a DREAM demographic.

Rapid growth and tons of disposable income.

Eric
