I honestly don't know what to think -- it has affected me deeply. |
I know exactly what you mean JP.
Corey was a big wake-up call for me. I share the same passion for fast expensive cars that took his life.
I also have an even bigger passion for fast airplanes and aerobatics.
I've been living life at full throttle for so long, I don't know any other way.
But when Cory died, it made me do a deep self-analysis of my own risk levels.
It has slowed me down a lot.
Don't get me wrong, I still am going to live life to the fullest. After all sports cars were designed to go fast and airplanes aren't meant to sit in hangars. Far too many people are so afraid of dying, that they never really LIVE.
But, I have backed down quite a bit on "competing with myself". No more trying to push it just a little faster and harder than last time. No more trying to see if I can just pull that one extra "G" before my vision starts to fade and I blackout.
It's just like you said...
No more Mr. Invincible...
Thanks for letting us know about Jeff. I never met him, but I respected his work.
My prayers will be with his family.
