Are there any resources out there for learning to create effective bullet points and "teasers"?

I want to write blog titles and descriptions that really suck the reader in.

Are there any good tools/resources for learning how to do this... or is it just a matter of looking through a few swipes?

Gary Halbert talked about the subject at length in one of his letters. I just happened to read that particular letter back when I was doing my first sales letter, and it really helped me.

Here's a great shortcut that will help you prepare to write the meat of your sales copy while pre-writing a large portion of your copy.

Before you do anything else when you're writing copy for an ebook or audio or video go through the whole program and write bullets as you go.

The secret to writing great bullets is to look for specific information...names, numbers, locations, famous people and of course benefits to your prospect.

By going through a full information product this way you're educating yourself on the value of the product, its specific benefits and it gives you a whole pile of content you can use directly in your sales letter.

Once you have your bullets written the next step is to talk to some real live prospects and see which of the bullets and main points you've internalized are hot buttons.

You want to see what approaches actually sell a real live prospect.

Step 1. Get a copy of Cosmo Magazine.

Step 2. Cut out the cover and table of contents pages.

Step 3. Slide both into see thru page sleeves and place in binder titled "Headline and Bullet Ideas".

Step 4. Lather. Rinse. Repeat monthly.
