Isn't that what the video's all about, understanding the truth of the other?

Doesn't the uniquely transformative power of great art and literature, (here I'm thinking especially of Dostoevsky, Shakespeare, Dickens, Mozart, Beethoven, as well as the great Religious texts) - lie at least partly in its ability to disclose to us, at a fundamental level, realities not our own?
