Here's my take....
It's not about being "emotional." If he's dealing with entrepreneurs in their 30s, so be it. No offense taken. However, when an event is open to men in their 30s and 40s but 39 is the cut-off for women, it doesn't sit right with me. If you want to set the age parameters--okay--but make it the same for both genders. Since when am I too old to hang out with my peers? My last boyfriend was seven years younger than me. In fact, I've dated several younger men.
Rick does have women on his list over 40; I'm 44, and I'm sure I wasn't the only baby boomer on the list.
I'm not going to lose sleep over this e-mail. It's just not cool, not cool at all.
