Since women are typically more emotional creatures, he should have known that a good portion of his audience may react negatively.

Being a male, I tend to follow the creature of logic mold and leave open the possibility that he wasn't acting as a pig looking to exploit younger women to help satisfy the desires of a few older men on his list.

I'm not challenging that he pissed people off. I'm disputing whether those who are pissed interpreted his intentions accurately.

Which leads to his biggest screw up. Right or wrong, his lack of clarity affected a certain portion of his list in a way that will most likely affect his income.
