You're right, people normally say they test to make themselves sound smart and like they're taking huge action. It's mostly BS. Go to their websites, get on their lists, pay attention to their e-mails, re-directs, cloaks, code, etc and you'll find what you say is true.

Also, I just used the word "video" in the subject line of an e-mail blast we did last last week and it was one of our most successful subject lines to date.

I think I'll stick with my OWN tools. It's called asking my market what THEY want, what THEY like, what they DON'T like, and creating products and services for THEM.

Here's the best thing anybody can do. Buy a yearly subscription to Survey Monkey for 200$:

SurveyMonkey.com - Powerful tool for creating web surveys. Online survey software made easy!

And in your autoresponders, hopefully you have at least a years worth of messages that go out automatically, be sure to sprinkle surveys throughout it that are under 5 questions long for each survey.

For example, you can do it on Month 1, 3, 6, and 10. That's 20 questions total. You can do more or less, it's up to you.

You can have multiple choice, but make sure to add open ended questions in there also, that's when the gold comes out. Ask stuff like...

1. What's the most disappointing product you've bought in the last year? And why was it disappointing?

2. What would be the dream product you'd want me to create?

3. What's your experience level?

4. I'm 27, how old are you?

Hopefully people see that this is million dollar information that can be used to create all new products, help with your copywriting because you'll know EXACTLY who you're writing to, etc.
