Default Need an Apprentice? - 07-19-2004, 05:19 PM

Do you have more copywriting work than you can handle?

If so, congratulations! What a wonderful position to be in!

I'd like to offer my services.

I am new at copywriting (have only done 6 website sales letters so far), but have been writing for several years (employee newsletters, customer newsletters, media releases, annual reports, brochures, factsheets, articles, etc.).

You can see a sample of my work at this link, which is a sales letter I wrote for my own site and product:
http://www.best-interview-strategies...esssystem.html

It's certainly not great, but I hope it shows my potential. I can provide other samples upon request.

I'm a student of the American Writers & Artists Institute (AWAI) Six-Figure Copywriting Course; have attended The System Seminar (last November in San Francisco); have read all of the free issues of John Carlton's Marketing Rebel Rant newsletter and the Gary Halbert letters; have read "Scientific Advertising," "Net Words," Bob Bly's first book on copywriting (can't recall the title), and several other related books; I subscribe to several copywriting and Internet marketing newsletters; and--most important and most valuable to me--absorb whatever I can from this Forum.

I am eager to move past the "studying" phase and into the "producing" stage!

I'm good at research, pay attention to detail, follow instructions and work quickly.

I would be interested in helping you by (1) conducting research, (2) creating initial drafts of sales letters that you could polish up and present as your own to your client, (3) taking on the jobs you don't want to bother with.

I am currently employed full-time (as a Community Affairs rep. for a special district). My time might be limited, but you'd be amazed at how much I can get done in just a few hours!

I'm more interested in LEARNING than EARNING and am open to just about any proposal from members of this forum (I trust you all to be fair).

As an apprentice, I would expect to be able to ask you lots of questions and pick your brain... not just about copywriting techniques, but about building a successful business.

Please contact me by PM if you're interested. Thank you!
